Guided Brief: Build a Brand Identity

Create the Brand Colour Palette

 Time limit: 1 hour

Remember to use your visual timer! We recommend the inventor’s iOS and Android apps — just search for “Time Timer” in the app store.

Explanation

In this assignment, you’ll use your learning about colour theory from Part 4 to create three colour palette options for the brand.

Instructions

1

Create the first colour palette

 Set your timer: 25 minutes

Keeping in mind your brand keywords and knowledge of colour psychology, choose your first brand colour palette.

Remember to start with just one base hue — this will be your main brand colour, and provide a starting point for the other colours you choose.

We recommend that you open up the reading from Part 4 about how to choose a colour palette, and work through the five steps outlined there.

2

Create the second colour palette

 Set your timer: 25 minutes

Repeat the process to create a second colour palette.

3

Create the third colour palette

 Set your timer: 25 minutes

Repeat the process one last time to create your third colour palette option.
